STEPS is a private not-for-profit, community-based organization providing a continuum of quality, comprehensive substance use treatment services and education to individuals; including those with co-occurring disorders, regardless of age, race, religion or national origin. Prioritizing those who are indigent, pregnant, postpartum, have children and/or IV drug users in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

STEPS was founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens and is dedicated to serving the needs of the community.  Our clients are recognized as individuals who possess the inner resources necessary to create the desired positive change in their lives. Treatment consists of facilitating clients in accessing and utilizing the necessary resources available to live as responsible individuals and productive members of their community.

STEPS is licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families to provide substance use services. 


We are also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF is an independent international, non-profit organization founded in 1966. Providing assurance to individuals seeking services STEPS has demonstrated conformance to internationally accepted standards.
