Scope of Service

Population Served

STEPS provides a continuum of evidence-based services for men, women, their children and families, juveniles, and criminal justice-involved individuals; prioritizing in the following order: those who are 1. ​​Pregnant, injecting drug users; 2. Other pregnant substance abusers; 3. Injecting drug users; 4. All other clients.

Settings

All of the STEPS service locations in Circuit 9 and Circuit 18 are conducive for clients' comfort, safety, privacy, handicap accessibility, and convenience. Facilities have electricity, central heating, and air conditioning, adequate lighting and ventilation, running water, and access to onsite telephone service.

 

Circuit 9

Located in Northwest Orange County. Office space and areas for client group and individual treatment services. The property is across the street from public transportation which is convenient to many of the clients we currently serve.

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM & Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Services Offered at this facility:

Intensive Outpatient: Three (3) days per week for four (4) hours per day. Services are never denied to clients based on their inability to pay.

 

Day treatment: Two (2) phases of treatment. Phase I: Five (5) days per week for four (4) hours per day. Phase II: Three (3) days per week for four (4) hours per day. Typically, three (3) months in length of service to complete both Phase I and Phase II. Services are never denied to clients based on their inability to pay.

Outpatient: One (1) day per week for 1.5 hours for approximately three (3) months.

Aftercare: One (1) day per week for 1.5 hours for approximately three (3) months.

The facilities are close to a city bus stop and transportation services are provided by the program for clients and their children as needed.

Hours of operation: 365 days per year, 24-hours per day

 

Services Offered at this facility:

 

Residential:  Client services are available 365 days per year, 24 hours per day.

 

Outpatient: One (1) group session per week for 1.5 hours for approximately three (3) months.

Aftercare: One (1) day per week for 1.5 hours for approximately three (3) months.

Located in Southwest Seminole County. Office is within walking distance from public transportation. The office is utilized for outpatient client services. The facility is approximately five (5) miles from the Seminole County Courthouse and is directly adjacent to the DOC office.
